Dante de Blasio is a writer/director from Brooklyn, New York. He first came to prominence starring in a viral campaign commercial, soon becoming one of the faces of Bill de Blasio's successful mayoral campaign.

He studied political science at Yale University, graduating with distinction in 2019. He cut his teeth working as a director’s assistant on the set of "Miracle Workers" before directing a pair of short documentaries on crime and violence in New York City.  

 

His non-fiction writing has been published in the Threepenny Review, the New York Daily News, and USA Today. His work focuses on politics, community organizing, and the black experience.
